Lou Dalton: London Collections MEN AW14
The very organic AW/14 collection by Lou Dalton goes back to the roots of working class. “This collection is very personal to me. It’s a man i know well,” says Lou.
Using her memory of clothes worn by farmhands earlier in her life, Dalton has created a modern take on work-wear with a few mild military references included and rustic camouflage. Expect bleached denim, washed out corduroy, cashmere, oversized pieces, engineered panelling, suede and shearling collars.
We’re loving the combining of the washed out denims with knits and a fancy tracksuit with suede chevrons up the leg and sleeve. Grenson footwear provided high-laced boots in black and oxblood, and are already on sale at Dover Street Market, New York.
There are also some very cool tailored pieces using Woolmark cool wool – in black it’s a classic. A refreshing show with a very strong collection. IC
