This month declared the launch of a new collaboration with Topman and British designer Charlie Casely-Hayford. ‘Fine Tailoring’ by Charlie Casely-Hayford presents ten suits, staying true to Topman style whilst fusing modern silhouettes with sartorial techniques, notorious to Charlie Casely-Hayford.
‘The TOPMAN Fine Tailoring collection is about creating the perfect suit for every occasion for the modern man about town. I wanted to create a unique statement by designing a series of suits that were forward thinking in their approach – retaining Savile Row detailing such as a half canvas and a working cuff and combining those elements with a streamlined and modernist TOPMAN outlook’.

Delivering a simple ethos of ‘something for every occasion’, the collection provides for all tailoring needs – party suits, weekend-away suit, wedding suits. As you’d expect from Casely-Hayford, attention to detail brings stretch wool fabrics in both single and double breasted jackets to allow for ease of movement, and a hipper drawstring jogger, the Weekend suit.
Three key Tuxedo jackets bring formal choice to the fine tailoring collection and a teal velvet tuxedo shows off the familiar C-H silhouette. Embracing contemporary workwear, C-H uses Italian wool for his hallmark split melton under collar, which is on offer with a choice of sharp shirts made with Egyptian cotton designed to work beautifully within each of the suiting categories.
‘We were delighted when Charlie proposed the idea of working together to create a contemporary suiting collection that bridged the gap between the High Street and Savile Row. An accomplished designer, Charlie’s eye for perfection is unmatched – no detail has been overlooked in the quest to create the perfect suit. From precision cuts to sophisticated fabrics Charlie has not only produced 1 perfect suit, he’s delivered 10’.
