Fourty years ago, the iconic Lotus Espirit S1 debuted on the silver screen as James Bond’s amphibious supercar in “The Spy Who Loved Me” film and quickly became one of the most famous of all Bond cars. To commemorate this years 40th anniversary, Lotus has commissioned and created a one-off unique Evora Sport 410.
Since 1966, the elite team at Henthel have hand built all Lotus cars and thanks to the Lotus Exclusive service at least 25% of new cars are personally customized in some fashion by this Bespoke option. Weighing in at a mere 1,280kg due to its use of hand made carbon-fibre components, it boasts a 3.5L 6-cylinder engine that pumps out 410 hp at 7,000 rpm, and accelerates from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, it is a marvel of speed and agility.
The Evora is truly a sight to behold. It is formidable with its beautiful design touches, including smart delineation with a black coach line running aft to rear, it appears always ready for take off even when conspicuously idle.
Carbon fibre seats and door panels with inserts of red Tartan plaid give the Evora a decidedly British touch. Red contrast stitching on the Alcantara® dashboard and console finish unifies the design aesthetic.
