Located in the Lower East Side neighbourhood of New York, on the corner of Bowery and Delancey, the elegant Sel Rrose is a dazzling cocktail and oyster bar. Founded by Kristin Vinecent in 2013, the venues name was inspired by Rrose Sélavey – Marcel Duchamp’s female impersonation, ” a tribute to cultural vivacity and intellectual audacity.”

The décor inside Sel Rrose is obviously inspired by early 20th century Paris, partly grand and sophisticated with a clear nod to the vibrancy of the local neighbourhood and the similarities between the Parisian and New York history of dance halls and drinking culture of artists and writers of that time.

The dinner menu features a variety of daily fresh East and West coast oysters and a selection of seasonal French-inflected plates. With a daily Happy hour attracting locals to the stunning marble bar, offering a French-focused cocktail list, with house-made syrups and shrubs. But you will also find tempting seasonal beers on tap, with a selection of premium spirits and specially curated natural wines.
