Porto is one of the oldest European Cities and one of the most picturesque, situated on the northwest coast of Portugal. Here lies the beautiful Palácio Fenízia Guest House. The blue faced gem sits unassumingly on a quiet street in between Santa Catarina and Bolhão Market. After a delicate full restoration, the guesthouse is now a wonderful embodiment of the romantic charm and elegance of Bourgeois residence in the early 1900s. It features five spacious suites, all of which blend traditional Portuguese patterns with modern bold shapes and furnishings.
The hallway is home to a staggering claraboia (or skylight to you and me), which floods the colourful walls with a wash of warming sunlight. There is also a very homely living room complete with a lovely fireplace, the perfect place to kick back, put your feet up and immerse yourself in a good book on a rainy day. When the sun is out there is a quaint garden with a carpet of lush grass and tall cypresses surrounding, insuring intimacy and privacy whilst you relax. Palacio Fenízia is particularly popular with creatives and it’s easy to see why.
