Recently, London’s bustling Shoreditch in the East End was treated to the launch of the exceptional 240-seat Nobu Restaurant. Reached via a sweeping staircase, the restaurant is exposed to natural light thanks to the five-metre tall glass doors leading to a terraced landscaped garden. The restaurant was designed by Studio PCH and at 340m² features iconic overhanging floor slabs and cantilevered steel beams contrasted by warm sleek timber fittings.
With Executive Chef Greg Seregithe at the helm, the menu features many Nubo cuisine dishes, an innovative interpretation of Japanese, Peruvian and other South American elements which were pioneered by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa after he studied Japanese cuisine in Tokyo and travelled extensively. Dishes include Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno.
The terrace can accommodate up to 80 people, split into four levels, which are available for private dining and intimate functions. There is also a custom-built open kitchen where up to 18 guests can experience the drama of the Nobu kitchen. In the Nobu Shoreditch Bar, you will find a hand-picked stock of vintage sakes, limited edition Japanese whiskies and rare champagnes. On the ground floor, you will find the Lobby Bar, offering Nobu dishes and award-winning cocktails. See our feature on Nobu Hotel, Shoreditch.
