The Satellite Terminal is a joint collaboration between Lufthansa and Munich Airport, to extend the original Terminal 2. Built on schedule and on budget, the new terminal opened in April of this year with 27 new gates, 15 retail areas, 7 restaurants and cafes, 3 duty free zones and a staggering 5 Lufthansa lounges for Star Alliance customers with the required status and/or Business Class & First Class ticket holders to enjoy.

The terminal is made up of a sparse selection of bold geometric shapes, washed with soft natural sunlight, helping passengers to await and unwind in the cosiest of environments. The only worry you’ll have in the Satellite terminal is making your flight, as your body might just get too snug to want to leave.
