‘For AW16 I have always wanted to commission a painting, so I did just that for some special pieces in the collection’ says Matthew Miller.
For his AW16 show, the very bold Mr Miller commissioned two replica paintings of Caravaggio’s ‘David and Goliath’, afterwards cutting them up to create two very special vests and two coats.
‘I wanted to create something completely new from the ripped and frayed remnants,’ says Miller.
He opposes his own theme of ‘Noveau Riche’ by liberating it from the ‘confines of a redundant establishment’. The beautiful Caravaggio hand painted oil on canvas coats are available to buy bespoke for £10,000 at www.matthewmillermenswear.com, in celebration of the launch of his AW16 collection
