Breathtaking Phang Nga in Thailand is home to the ultra-luxurious Iniala Beach House. With three villas, penthouse, kids hotel and fine dining restaurant, Iniala Beach House is well-positioned as a unique property in the region. This project was the brainchild of Mark Weingard, who carefully selected a team of ten leading figures in the world of international design to realise his dream.

The Campana brothers created a wall encrusted with blue and white plates in an artisan fashion, located in the courtyard and living room of the Collector’s Villa. Spanish designer Jaime Hayon and Irish master carpenter Joseph Walsh built a sculptured canopy bed from solid ash wood, which is a focus point in the epic suite.

Staying true to traditional Thai crafts was important when developing Iniala and in Villa Siam we see the work of Bangkok-based artist and curator Eggarat Wongcharit whilst British architect Graham Lamb applied a healing hands motif in a stunning curved teak roof. In The Penthouse, Lamb built a beach oasis with sand tones and modified memory foam carpets that aim to simulate walking on a beach. This is an ideal space for honeymooners, couples and small families, with a capacious bedroom, separate living and dining area leading to a stunning outdoor terrace with pool.

Each opulent residence features a private butler with chef and massage therapist available on request. Whilst the three-bedroom villas offer living and dining spaces, private outdoor pools, the Collector’s Villa features a Cinema of Nature – a comfortable, 22-seater home theatre created by the Campana brothers which mirrors the colours and characters of a Thai rainforest.

For families with younger children, the Iniala’s Kids Hotel is a haven of fun. Designed by a former Sadler’s Wells creative director and set designer, the bedroom is disguised as a treehouse and the play area features a theatre and costume shop.

One of Iniala’s aims is to be a living gallery of art, sculpture, and ceramics, presenting over 40 contemporary artworks by some of South-East Asia’s top artists, blended with luxury furniture and lighting designed by Mark Brazier-Jones, amongst others.

In the restaurant, classic Nordic dishes are the order of the day under executive chef Seumas Smith, who takes inspiration from his Scottish-Swedish heritage, unique to the region.

Philanthropy plays an important role at Iniala and 10% of all room revenues and 5% of all other revenues are donated to the Inspirasia Foundation. The charity funds and maintains projects in health and education for marginalized communities and people with disabilities across South East Asia and Malta.
