‘Less Fashion/More Authenticity’
Esenshel is a men’s and women’s headwear collection which is based in the USA. New York accessory designer Rodney Patterson launched his line of unique hats in 2014 after several successful years working as a stylist & visual director for leading fashion companies.
The brand’s name is derived from the phonetic spelling of the word ‘essential’. Rodney landed on and chose the name Esenshel because of its dictionary meaning. As an adjective, it means, absolutely necessary, and extremely important. Crucial, key and vital.
That aesthetic is evident in each season’s collection of must-have accessories which are meticulously crafted by hand of the finest materials in a small workroom in Brooklyn. Some hats are blocked, and others are sewn. Construction fibres include hemp, straw, & wool felt.
The foundation of the collection was designed and built to be an extension of the wearer, reflecting his or her lifestyle. It was born from Rodney’s creative desire to express himself through the development of tangible accessory items. These were items he envisioned but found were unavailable in the marketplace.
Ensenshel accessories are modern classics, thoughtful & unique in shape as well as proportion while catering to the discerning tastes of the modern urban wearer. Rodney has designed hats for Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and many others. The current collection focuses on headwear and future collections will include bags & outerwear. Eseshel headwear is sold in designer and luxury stores with prices starting at $295.
