Christopher Shannon returns with his SS18 collection, just unleashed at London Fashion Week Men’s. With more inspiration taken from his teenage years in Liverpool, the designer took over Rachel Whiteread’s former studio in London’s East End to create an installation showcasing his SS18 streetwear aesthetic by transforming the space into a teenager’s bedroom. The room was outfitted with a PlayStation and bad home dye jobs.
In the collection, expect shades of light chambray, tomato, indigos and multiple denim washes, hoodies, utilitarian panelling, oversizing and perfect fits with some great branding. On the tee’s, the inspiration rolls with words from some of Shannon’s favourite records including ‘Danger Came Smiling’ and ‘It’s Been Hours Now’. Shannon also introduces a new collection of self-titled branded bags, which should prove to be popular.
Shannon has also revived his ruffled track pants in denim and sweat shirting plus the launch of his debut fragrance, created by leading Parfumers ‘Verduu‘. Here we share with you his SS18 lookbook – that’s all you need to know for now…
