As a brand, Dirty Bones had three successful restaurants in London already and in April, opened Dirty Bones Soho on Denman Street. Perhaps best described as American comfort food with a welcoming old school soundtrack with colourful characters and cocktails to match.
The design of the Soho site is warm, dark and very cosy, taking inspiration from New York lofts and a bit of glamour inspired by Studio 54. Overseen by interior designer Lotti Lorenzetti who looks to the “urban, artistic and youthful character of Brooklyn, Bushwick and Williamsburg” for inspiration. Pieces from East London artist Danny Augustine are showcased with retro neon lighting, timber-concrete flooring and the obligatory mismatched furniture, carefully placed of course.
With signature dishes developed specially for the Soho restaurant, you will be forgiven for indulging in the rich comfort food with treats like Slow n’ Low Pork Belly Ribs marinated in Dr. Pepper and burnt onion and ale BBQ sauce, as well as an all-new rotating selection of grass-fed British rib-eye steak. But also expect some lighter options, like Raw Kale & Chilli Salad, Roasted Chilli-Mint Squash, Grilled Fish Tacos and Short Rib Tacos with a whole beef short rib.
An antique floor-to-ceiling bookcase harbouring neon lights is a focal point whilst the main attraction is the open kitchen, not only providing entertainment as the chefs are at work, but also gratifying your senses. Another highlight is the Weekend Brunch (which you will also find at the sites in Kensington, Carnaby and Shoreditch). Boozy Brunch Cocktail Flights, hollandaise-topped Dirty Crumpets and Dirty Bones’ signature Chicken & Waffles topped with a fried egg. Maybe we should call it guilty food?!
With lots of competition in the area, it can also be challenging to get good food at busy times in London, so Dirty Bones Soho is a great new addition. Enjoy the food, enjoy the music and share it with best friends!
