Back in 2014, Christopher Lowman started his journey into the fashion industry by interning for menswear brands in New York, his beloved home city. It was his positive experience and learning at Pyer Moss that attributed to him building the confidence to launch his own brand.
Lowman’s idea was to ‘reinvent the 1980’s rockstar’ by using modern tailoring techniques with high-end materials, accentuating the masculine form with every cut, all produced in New York City.
In July 2017 Christopher launched his Spring/Summer 2018 collection called “Harvard Punkd” evolving around college students battling a chain of emotions throughout a semester and since his first fashion week debut, collections have featured in Vogue Paris, NY Times, iheart Radio and HuffPost. Celebs like Chris Brown, Jake Miller, Aidan Alexander, Jr. Smith have adorned Christopher Lowman pieces.
For Spring/Summer 2019, he returns with The Glorious Olympics Collection, which takes direct influence from 1980’s summer Olympics. With bold colours and patterns, we see a fusion of urban street style and luxury fabrics.
“The Glorious Olympics revamps looks from the official Olympics opening ceremonies of that decade, reimagining it for the modern age by merging sophisticated, clean lines & silhouettes with a touch of edge and featuring lambskin leathers mixed with neoprene, mixed media cow hides, golden tricot melons, pullovers and tracksuits all in unique shapes and textures.”
