British-Ghanian photographer & filmmaker Campbell Addy launched his debut photo book last night at Protein Galleries, titled ‘Feeling Seen‘. With supporting entertainment from rising UK singer-songwriter Cosima, the event was a roaring success.
The event signalled the start of the 3-day public exhibition which runs from April 15-18th at the East London gallery. The curated selection of images ranges from fashion and magazine commissions to striking portraits that include faces like Kendall Jenner, FKA Twigs, and Tyler The Creator, to cover shoots for leading magazines such as Time, Rolling Stone, and Garage.
Guests included Bianca Saunders (British designer), Kenya Hunt (Editor-in-Chief of Elle UK), CKTRL (Instrumentalist/Musician), Imran Ahmed (Editor-in-Chief of BOF), Olivia Singer (Global Editorial Director of I-D), Nadine Ijewere (Photographer), Nabil Aliffi (Soho House’s Chief Creative Officer), Matthew Josephs (stylist), Geoff K. Cooper (Fashion Aficionado/Editor), Andrey Veronkov (Interior Designer), and models Adesuwa Aighewi, Fahdi Mohamed, King Owusu, Nyaueth Riam and Wilson Oreyema.
The event was fresh and represented the book beautifully. Now go buy a copy…
