ID
Sporty streetwear, touching on hip hop culture, and the surfer/skater scene in the style of the late 80’s and early 90’s.
Inspiration
The collections vision and mood is inspired by the award winning film ‘Only God Forgives’ directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, focusing on the films delicate use of pace, colour and sound set against a backdrop of gratuitous brutality and violence. This time Astrid draws on the harsh contrast of brutality and softly beautiful male figures, a meeting of opposites: the strong, aggressive attitude of the models juxtaposed with a gentle femininity shown through the hair (long, stick-straight, centre-parted), luxurious fabrics (satin, brights, jacquards), and soft colours (silver, icy blue and camel).
Highlights
Astrids textiles are a blend of heavy and light. Mobster mink coats with Kopenhagen fur and faux mixes, along with wadded coats and heavy jerseys are paired with fine satins and laces in jackets, pants and shirts.
Pallette
Black, blue, silver, grey and camel.
Accessories
Strong military boots by Nicolas Deakins and delicate chain necklaces draped over loose silhouettes.
Astrid Andersen launches her jewellery this season in a collaboration with Black Dakini.
