The iconic World Press Photo Exhibition, renowned for showcasing powerful photojournalism and documentary photography, is returning to London in 2024. Following a seven-year absence, the exhibition will be held at Borough Yards from Friday 3rd May to Monday 27th May.

The World Press Photo Foundation, established in 1955, has a longstanding commitment to visual storytelling. Their annual contest draws entries from around the globe and offers a platform for photographers to document important events and issues. The travelling exhibition gives viewers a chance to delve deeper into significant narratives while expanding their understanding of the world around them.
London has been eagerly anticipating this prestigious exhibition’s return and will serve as one of over 60 cities in 40 countries to host the showcase on its worldwide tour. The new setting within Borough Yards, a vibrant cultural destination near London Bridge, offers an ideal location to present this impactful collection of images.
The 2024 Contest
The 2024 World Press Photo Contest saw an impressive 61,062 entries from photographers in 130 countries. Regional and global winners will be announced in April ahead of the London exhibition’s opening. The judging system emphasizes regional representation and a range of photographic styles within news and documentary genres. This limited-run exhibition provides a unique window into events and issues shaping our world.
