“Here, in this nowhere of New York; style, attitude and tricked appearance serve a quest for physical desire. The modern Dandy uses clothing as a tool for role construction. When, ‘take your clothes and leave’ meets ‘stay here or I’ll miss you’, the high-end spirits of the night stay awake to see the sunrise. Sweet eyes, soft materials, heavy breathing, hot tea, seduction is part of the modern Dandy etiquette.
The designer Samuel Dionne wanted to imagine how the modern Dandy wardrobe could be actualised and take part in down to earth issues without losing its essence aesthetics and prestige. Looking for a dreamed, almost lost, beauty ideal, the collection questions the binary gender identity constructed by society. All garments are part of Samuel Dionne collection.
Samuel Dionne just graduated of UQAM in the Fashion Design program. He is a young designer inspired by people of convictions living in a world that has forever lost the luxury of contemplation and dandyism.”
