We all love good, healthy, wholesome food, and even better when things don’t get too complicated. So Simple Café in Brooklyn, New York is a real treat. Owned and operated by Chef Samia Behaya, who’s French and Algerian background has inspired all of the dishes.
With an original menu and all ingredients sourced locally from Hudson Valley Harvest, the menu is always fresh and appealing to regulars. The atmosphere is always welcoming in a beautiful artisan space with a happy hour thrown in Tuesday through Saturday from 5-8pm.
On the lunch menu, we see the sumptuous BRUNCH BUFFET, comprising Scrambled Eggs, Crispy Bacon, Gratin Dauphinois, Vegetable Gratinee, French Toast, Homemade Bread, Spring Salad, Quinoa, Croissants, Quiche of the Day, Soup du Jour, Ham & Cheese Plate, Yogurt, Granola & Seasonal Fruit with comes with coffee and orange juice. How mouthwatering!
Or go for the ALGERIAN TCHOUCHOUKA with scrambled egg, onion, tomato, red pepper, garlic, cumin and harissa or STEAK & EGGS with eggs, hanger steak, gratin dauphinoise and vin-rouge.
For dinner, you can maybe try BURRATA TOAST with seasonal fruit and herbs for starters, followed by FISH VERMICELLI with pan-fried turmeric Catfish with dill and sesame crackers served with cucumbers, peanuts, and sweet fish sauce over vermicelli rice noodles. Finish the meal with Marou Chocolate Cake, Tarte Aux Pommes, Crème Brûlée or Crêpe aux Milles Troux or Baghrir, Semolina Crêpe & Orange Blossom. Oh and don’t forget your Moroccan Tea!
