Finding the perfect balance between modern sleek design and a natural tranquil environment for a dining experience, is a challenging feat that few manage to master. One restaurant that has done just that is the ‘Hanging Gardens’ of the Berthelot Restaurant in Bucharest, Romania. A clever combination of hanging flower pots and ground pot plants breath an air of life into the room. The very elegant long arm DelightFULL brass wall lamps stretch over the mirrored wall of individual tables, whilst Pastorius scissor arm brass lamps line the adjacent padded wall. This delicate touch of lighting provides an intimate and personal dining experience at night time.
During the day the restaurant is a wash of natural light thanks to the greenhouse feel with a ceiling of windows, as well as high wall windows and mirrors filling in the gaps with soft comforting sun light. The inevitable echoes of a reverberant glass room are subtly diffused by a long hugging paddled wall, as well as cushioned dont-want-to-move sofas, which paired with the abundance of nature help guests unwind and relax in a soothing atmosphere, at any time, day or night.
