Money, the iconic luxury street-wear brand with an eye on London high fashion and a playful view of urban culture, celebrated their Tenth Anniversary recently with a vibrant Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
.
The collection, aptly named ‘Jubilant’, offers a fresh take on such essentials as caps and shorts in distinctive floral prints and vintage style melange tones, as well as the return of their ever- popular graphic tees. This season’s range sees a strong post-war and pop art influence throughout, with the Banksy inspired Fuzz Tee as well as the new Orgasm Tee inspired by the playfully erotic images of cult photographer Richard Kern. In addition, one of the many new in- house graphic prints for the season includes a contemporary two-tone zig-zag pattern which can be seen on a turquoise raglan crew-neck sweat.
Outerwear makes a striking impact with quilted jackets in chalk blue, floral print bombers in three unique colour-ways, as well as a redefined classic lightweight coach hood jacket emblazoned with the brand’s iconic signature logo. Bleached, snow washed and ripped vintage tapered-denim styles make their debut alongside a selection of lux loose fit track pants in a myriad of contemporary hues including silver melange, transgenic yellow, heliotrope purple and aquamarine.
This season sees the the much anticipated release of the Run Money line of trainers which features ten unique designs in eight evocative 1970’s style colour combinations. The full formed and flattering shape of the solid sneaker silhouette is accentuated by strong primary colour combinations in both nylon and suede, with proud exception of a bold all white leather trainer with a pop of green of Money’s logo on the shoe’s tongue.
Inciting a sense of playful summer nostalgia, the Money Spring/Summer 2014 lookbook is a collection of energetic colour dripped images of pro skateboarder Garbiel Vazquez and model Ella Jazz on the streets of Los Angeles and shot by photographer Viktor Vautheir.
